Coronavirus 2020. 10 things to do during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I hope everyone is staying safe and busy at home. The B family is taking it one day at a time, as I'm sure most people are. Kenny is a Type 1 Diabetic, which means this coronavirus pandemic has put me in full momma bear mode. Kenny and I don't leave the house, we have gone through loads of Clorox wipes, and Kenny doesn't touch ANYTHING that comes from the outside world. That said, we've had to get creative with what we do at home. I put together a list of ways you can make the most out of the coronavirus pandemic and enjoy your time spent at home.
1. Stay Positive
This seems incredibly hard when the coronavirus is impacting so many lives. It's difficult to stay positive in such a scary time but we will get through this!
2. Read A New Book
Here is a link to Amazon Books, which has a lot of good deals on books. They even have some free books for the family! Also, try your local library. They should have some online books.
3. Do Yoga
Kenny has been doing Frozen yoga that she follows along with on YouTube. It has become part of our morning routine. She loves it!
4. Plan For The Future
Start a savings account, add to your savings account, look into that Master's Degree you want, make sure your fire alarms are working, or put first aid kits in your vehicles. Here is a link to MyMedic, which has awesome first aid kits.
5. Have Family Movie Night
Kenny and I have watched Frozen 2 about a thousand times since it came out on Disney Plus! We also built a fort in our living room - to watch Frozen 2 in, of course. Here are some more family activities to do at home.
6. Plan a Trip
I came across this website that gives you deals for booking vacation tours. It helps you find places to travel to, attractions to see, and saves you money! We won't be traveling anytime soon but now could be the perfect time to book that flight to New Zealand you always dreamed of. (Wink wink, 16).
7. Start Your Spring Cleaning
We have a cedar closet in one of our bedrooms, which was overflowing with sheets and sweatshirts. I love big, comfy sweatshirts. A few days ago, I finally went through everything. I had bags of things that I wanted to get rid of. eBay is a great place to sell all of those unwanted, but in good condition, items. The best part is that you can sell them from home!
8. Play Board Games
Our new nightly activity is playing board games. Kenny's favorite is Don't Wake Daddy. If you have young children this is a must! We have so much fun!
As most of you know, I'm addicted to Amazon. Prime Wardrobe is a lifesaver. I linked it so you can become addicted, too ;)
10. Don't Worry
These are tough times for everyone. Fear is an amazing thing but so is love. Love on your families, enjoy the downtime, stay in your pajamas all day, and trust that everything will be okay.
